The thesis focuses on electronic books and their formats. It mentions several e-bookreaders that are available for Android and Windows platforms. Next, the thesisexplores possibilities to create a cross platform e-book reader with Xamarin tooland the use of multiple platform support to sync between devices.
In the practical part of the thesis, this app for Android and Windows was crea-ted. It allows readers to synchronize the reading progress between their devices.The e-book reader also offers common features such as bookmarking, text sizechange, night mode, etc. Synchronization is provided by Dropbox or the Firebasecloud database. The completed app was published to Google Play and the MicrosoftStore.
