Annotation
This thesis is divided into two parts. The first part deals briefly with web design and explains the term wireframe. Next, it also discusses how wireframes are used during the process of building a website. Furthermore, the first part describes a custom tool that was created in order to generate wireframes from any website. It also focuses on alternative tools for creating wireframes.
The second part discusses results from a questionnaire that was created based on this tool. The questionnaire consisted of several wireframes from a few chosen websites. The respondents’task was to assign the displayed wireframe to a web page from which it was generated. The survey results are then described and analysed in the thesis. The complete answers of the respondents can be found in the appendix.
